While raised flooring is routine in data centers, this 62,000 square foot upscale office facility in Lenexa, Kansas utilizes underfloor air in the entire building, including office spaces, a unique feature that allows substantial flexibility for quick reconfiguration of work areas.

The entire facility utilizes a 16” high raised floor system containing all of the electrical and communications systems as well as the HVAC air supply system.

The HVAC system consisted of:

  •  3 York Air Cooled Chilers

  •  2 High Efficiency Fulton Pulse Boilers

  •  5 York air handling units set on the roof

  •  Hot water distribution below the floor for reheat boxes for the underfloor system

  •  Associated pumps, ductwork and piping

The overall project entailed the conversion of an abandoned 60,000 square foot grocery store into a state-of-the-art Operations Center with data processing and offices for Jack Henry & Associates.

Interior renovations of the empty shell building achieved exceptionally flexible workspaces and included moveable wall systems.
