Commercial Mechanical Services – On Call Contract

For Environmental Mechanical, a job does not end when a system is installed or repaired. We strive to develop relationships that withstand the test of time.  A key example of this is our relationship with KU Medical Center.

 

  • KU Med is Kansas’ premier academic primary through tertiary care hospital, which sits at the heart of the 50-acre campus of  the University of Kansas Medical Center.  
  • EMC is currently in the 11th year of the Commercial Mechanical Services – On Call contract with KU Medical Center. 
  • We were awarded the base contract (2 years) in 2003 and we are extremely proud to have been awarded 2 subsequent, 3-year option renewals, which were won through hard work, reputation and performance. 
  • We are on call for all mechanical issues that arise – from service related calls to domestic plumbing.  If it’s mechanical, they call us! 
  • Work completed recently includes:  Upgrade and renovation of laboratory ventilation system to meet current code requirements; Installation of variable frequency drives for various air-handling units; Air conditioning system for department manager's suite;  Installation of new HVAC infrastructure for future classrooms Computer room air conditioning; and AHU renovations and air balancing for operating room suites.
