  • Environmental Mechanical served as the prime contractor on this project for the Blue Valley Unified School District No. 229
  • The project, at the Blue Valley District Office, consisted of replacing an aging roof top unit system with new energy efficient RTU's and variable volume refrigerant systems
  • The project site was still in operation while under construction; the building was broken up into six phases during the rebuild to allow work to continue uninterrupted.  All phases were completed ahead of schedule allowing the District to move their employees in a timely manner
  • Three phases were completely heated using Daikin variable volume refrigerant systems.  There are a total of 50 indoor air handlers installed in the rooms that are being supplied by four condenser units located outside each wing
  • As the prime contractor, EMC removed and replaced the HVAC system in its entirety.  Ceilings and lighting were removed to allow demolition of existing system as well as reinstallation of new duct work and piping.  As the prime contractor, EMC selected and directly supervised subcontractors for drywall, painting, concrete, electrucal, HVAC controls, roofing, crane hoisting, and fire alarms
