Environmental Mechanical welcomes new Senior Project Manager
High-profile projects drive continued growth at Olathe-based contractor
Rick R. Ellis joined the Environmental Mechanical Contractors team in January 2010 as a Senior Project Manager.
Rick has over 29 years of experience in plumbing and piping operations and has managed numerous design/build projects at commercial, industrial and institutional facilities, including cleanroom piping, sanitary and food grade piping, power plant instrumentation piping, high pressure hydraulic piping for turbine controls, stack drain installations and others.
He also brings extensive experience in the healthcare arena to EMC, most notably having headed up projects at two of Kansas City’s major hospitals prior to signing on at EMC.
EMC was recently selected for several high-profile healthcare projects, including Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Kansas (J.E. Dunn); the new KU Pharmacy building in Lawrence, Kansas (J.E. Dunn); and the KU Medical Office Building, a 200,000 square foot LEED project in Kansas City, Kansas (Turner Construction).
Rick earned a BS in Construction Science from Kansas State University, successfully completed Advanced Courses at the MCAA Institute for Project Management and holds a Healthcare Contractor’s Certificate from ASHE.
