MSCA 26th Annual Educational Conference

David DeBiasse, EMC Executive Vice President, was part of the winning team that took First Place at the Annual AirAdvice/ MSCA Golf Tournament in October 2011.

Environmental Mechanical successfully completes Bayer 1st Floor and Basement Renovation Project

EMC recently completed a 17,500 square foot renovation project at the Bayer industrial facility in Kansas City, Missouri and was extremely pleased to receive a letter of appreciation from the general contractor on the project, McCownGordon Construction.   

The project, which updated the entire MEP system and architectural features, was confined to the first floor and basement mechanical rooms of a single building of the “campus” facility.

  • Design/Build project to renovate the historic 1006 Grand office building into 125 living units, with 2 additional floors of amenities. 
  • 1006 Grand was originally built in 1909 as a five story building known as The Gates Building.  Over the next 20 years additions were completed to expand the building to its current seventeen story height and it became known as The Homes Savings Association Building. The Design-Build Institute of America’s Midwest Branch has recognized Fire Station 19, 550 W. 43rd St., as one of nine exceptional design-build projects in the region.
 
Environmental Mechanical is proud to have successfully completed the mechanical scope on this design-build project with JE Dunn.

New Marketing Coordinator

Barb L. Galan

Environmental Mechanical Contractors recently hired Barbara L. Galan as their new Marketing Coordinator. Barbara will be responsible for market research and materials, community relations and coordinating the preparation of proposals and qualifications. Barbara brings over 12 years of executive and product management experience to Environmental Mechanical. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Masters in Public Relations from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. A native of Kansas City, prior to joining Environmental Mechanical she worked for the Institute for International Research, as Division Manager in Madrid, Spain.
