Steve Van Niewenhuyse

Steve Van Niewenhuyse is a Project Manager with Environmental Mechanical Contractors.

He joined EMC in 1992 and his dedication to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction has been built on his hands-on experience in all areas of the industry.

He served his apprenticeship with EMC and gained extensive experience in installation, start-up and balancing in the company’s HVAC service department before moving to new construction. Prior to joining EMC, Steve worked for an HVAC wholesaler to the industry.

As Project Manager, Steve has led the numerous Design/Build loft projects in which EMC has been involved, including the Cold Storage Lofts in the historic 450,000 square foot building at 500 East 3rd Street; the 4-story Richards & Conover Lofts, one of the first developments in the River Market West area; and the J.I. Case, HD Lee and Stuart Hall Lofts, all in the historic Freight House District.

Steve completed his Associate degree in HVAC Technology at Johnson County Community College, holds an EPA Universal Refrigeration Certificate, has successfully completed the Trane Air Conditioning Clinic and is currently working towards the NEBB Supervisor certification.
